It has been ported to NetBSD; I dunno what would be needed for a FreeBSD port -- probably a few kernel changes. Netatalk is smaller and faster than CAP, but runs on fewer platforms. netatalk-admins-request@terminator.rs.itd.umich.edu is the address for getting on the mailing list. netatalk@terminator.rs.itd.umich.edu is the address for the developers. Of course, you didn't mention which LaserWriter Select you have -- some are on localtalk. Some are serial only. Which one you have will determine what you do. -- Paul Southworth CICNet Systems Support pauls@cic.net
