I have mailed to duz and he sent me a uudecode version of his german.iso
Map. I have tried it yesterday night, but I am still unable to use this.
IMHO as I have written in a previous post the german keymap is simply wrong.
That wouldn't bother me, if -and this is a big if- I could get it
working. Obviously something changed from 1.1 to 1.1.51 because the
explanations of Dirk are not longer valid.
He says : - cp the new german.iso to /usr/src/share/syscons/keymaps
- do a make
- cp the new obj/german.iso to /usr/share/syscons
- Load the new keyboard with syscons -k ...
As I see it, I have no command like syscons -k. I think in 1.1.51
it is /usr/sbin/kdbcontrol, but if I do it the following way :
- cp the new german.iso to /usr/src/share/syscons/keymaps
- do a make
- do a make install
- do a /usr/sbin/kbdcontrol -l /usr/share/syscons/keymaps/german.iso
I am still not able to get this going.
Does anyone have a german Keymap and can me explain how to install this ?
Even better would be, if he/she can mail a uudecoded Map to me, which
is going on a 1.1.51 FreeBSD.
