Well, I tried and tried.

Both NetBSD and FreeBSD report the following error on boot:

aha0: Cmd/data port full

And then it doesn't detect the Micropolis 1.7G drive. This was after I
recompiled the kernel, because my Adaptec is at 0x130. Is it a problem
with the base address? or with my IDE?

Also... Does anyone know why FreeBSD and NetBSD fail to recognize the
internal IDE controller on a DELL 486DX2/66 "T" (tower) system? I had to
put a different IDE controller in and disable the internal one for it to
work.
