Subject: Are there troff filter programs available for NetBSD-1.0B ??

Please forgive me if this is the wrong group to post to, but I was just
wondering if there were any filter programs available for FTP somewhere
for my NetBSD-1.0B system and an Epson Stylus 800 printer that I have.

I do have X installed, but for right now at least, I would not like to
having to install ghostscript. Thus, groff would be my only alternative
for text processing (I don't want to have to compile TeX either!). It
would be nice to be able to use my printer under NetBSD (I use Windoze
right now, but would consider it much more educational to use troff, plus
I guess it would make me "hard core" 8-).

So, how about it? Has anyone written a groff fileter for the Epson Stylus
800? If not, would anyone out there be willing to at least guide me on
how to right my own printer filter for groff? (It MUST be possible!!)
If not that, any books or docs or FAQs on how to do this?

Thanks for any help/suggestions that anyone can give to me.

Sincerely,

Mark Steven Tamola
