I upgraded using the "UPGRADE.sh" script against a clean source tree. As with other systems I have done, this ran without problems. I rebuilt the kernel using the GENERICBT config file (I have a UltraStor 34F SCSI controller) Now when I reboot the system, it hangs with the message "Waiting for SCSI bus to settle" (or something close to that...) This seems to lock up the whole bus so I need to power on and off to clear it. I took my original config file from 1.1 and rebuilt the kernel using that and although I don't get the "settle" message, I still lock up in the boot sequence at the point where it prints out the uha0 information. Booting from the 1.1 kernal is continues to be OK. Anyone have any ideas ? System info is as follows: Intel 486/66 on a Diamond FastBus Motherboard.(has onboard IDE and Floppy cont) UltraStor 34F VLB 2 SCSI drives - DOS/WINDOWS on drive1 /FreeBSD on drive 2 (BootEasy) NEC CDRom Thanks, Greg Rowe
