It has been a very humid summer here, and I guess a layer of oxide has slowly grown on the connector of the cheap power-line splitter I was using to feed the two drives that were acting up. Anyway, I was typing away and the two drives started turning on and off erratically. Disconnecting and re-connecting the power splitter connector, and the problem hasn't happend for 48 almost 48 hours now. Ummm, I said terminator *power*, and not *terminators*. If you examine the doco on your scsi peripherals, you will notice that most of them have a jumper that connects juice to the terminator-power-line. Per spec, not more than 5 of the devices on the bus should be supplying it. -- Robert Withrow, Tel: +1 617 598 4480, Fax: +1 617 598 4430 R.W.
