What's changed between 1.1 and : 1.1.5.1? Bidirectional ports have been made the default in 1.1.5.x This means that /dev/tty01 is by default set up as -clocal. You should use /dev/cua01 major 28, minor 129 for dial out. It is set up as clocal by default. Also take a look at /etc/rc.serial to see how to use the initial and locking ports. With these you can set what the intial open state is for a specific com port and also lock in an unchangeable stty state on that port.
