Hi. I noticed something rather interesting this morning when
powering up my freebsd system.

This system consists of a 486dx2/66, FreeBSD 1.1.5.1, and a Mitsumi
double speed CDROM and interface.

When booting normally, I get the following:

Sep 10 13:01:09 mindslayer /386bsd: mcd0: version information is 10 D 10
Sep 10 13:01:09 mindslayer /386bsd: mcd0: Adjusted for newer drive model
Sep 10 13:01:09 mindslayer /386bsd: mcd0 at 0x300-0x303 irq 10 on isa

My /etc/fstab then mounts the current disc, which is the FreeBSD 1.1
CD, ISO-9660/Rockridge.

After loggin in as root, I sync and then fastboot. During the next boot
cycle, I get the following:

Sep 10 13:19:04 mindslayer /386bsd: mcd0: version information is 10 D 10
Sep 10 13:19:04 mindslayer /386bsd: mcd0: Adjusted for newer drive model
Sep 10 13:19:04 mindslayer /386bsd: mcd0 at 0x300-0x303 irq 10 on isa

Then the fsck skips due to the fastboot, then I get the following error,
presumably when it tries to mount the cd:

Sep 10 13:19:04 mindslayer /386bsd: mcd0: mcd_volinfo: error read data
Sep 10 13:19:04 mindslayer /386bsd: mcd0: failed to get disk size

This happens every time I do a fastboot, and requires me to manually
remount the disk.

Is this a problem, or is it normal behavior?

Thanks.

-Chris
