(1.0 or whatever). If this is the case I need to know, cause I would be wasting my time installing it on a scsi since I require alot more than 16 meg of ram :) NetBSD doesn't support more than 16MB of RAM with an *ISA*-bus SCSI controller. It works fine with EISA, VLB, and PCI controllers, with any amount of memory. EISA, VLB and PCI aren't limited on address lines the way ISA is. Bounce buffer support won't make it into NetBSD until the version after 1.0. If possible, I'd strongly suggest using one of the three mentioned busses for your SCSI, just for the sheer speed advantage alone, not to mention bigger memory support. I believe FreeBSD 1.5.1.1 has bounce buffer support for ISA SCSI with more than 16MB of RAM, however, if you need to use that 1542 with more than 16MB of RAM. -- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Michael L.
