I recently attempted to get FreeBSD working with a 3c509 with some success.
Pinging or telneting to other hosts did not work. However, flood pinging
(ping -f) worked. While flood pinging another host, is was possible to
talk to other machines. Stop the flood ping and silence. It seems like
a driver problem that only allows packets through if there are some
already queued.

Anybody have a patch for this bug?
