It took me a few days longer to realize that the disk- label required the first cylinder, and that it would be bad to swap on top it! I couldn't have done it without you guys (at least not before, say, Christmas). My next project is installing a 1.6GB Seagate and an Archive 2150S SCSI drives that I picked up at the EO going out of business auction (I feel for the former EO & Go employees - with the hardware those guys had, life must have been good). All I have in the way of a SCSI controller is a few crummy old Future Domain TMC-880 boards; I may need some help with this undertaking! The foremost question that I have is whether this SCSI controller can peacefully coexist with my 2 x 420 MB IDE drives (wd0 is the boot device)? Or should I ditch the TMC-880's and get me a real controller (my eventual goal after my wallet stops smarting from my recent excessive buying binges)? Thanks again. Andrew
