It seems when I turn on ttyd1 in my /etc/ttys file, my modem's receive and send data lights come on, and I am unable to use cua01 to dial out-I get a device busy or something like that. If I turn off the modem to reset it, I can use cua01, though the RD and SD light will come back on. Also, I cannot seem to get getty to run on port ttyd1. The closest I get it 'login -p -ml com) ' and some thing else after that.A I think the two problems are related. I'm running on a Gateway 2000, 486Dx2-66, with a Hayes Accura 288 V.FC + FAX(I'm only using it at 9600 to avoid other posible problems.) Does anyone have any ideas?
