I get this >error at boot time: >wd1: can't handle 256 heads from partition table (controller value 16 restored) I get the same bootup error message on a machine here with a 2nd IDE drive. (420MB Conner IDE). All my other FreeBSD systems either have only 1 IDE drive or have multiple SCSI drives and I never saw such a message on them. Inspite of the error message I haven't had a bit of trouble out of either if the disks. Still the perfectionist in me doesn't like such loose ends. Anyone out there have any ideas on the cause of this? -- Bruce Jackson | Univ. of North Texas | jackson@cs.unt.edu UNIX Systems Admin. | P. O.
