P.Gabriel I upgraded to an EISA system, so I wanted to replace my old 1542C. I got a Buslogic 747C. It seems like a nice card, and comes with good docs and software. But I just didn't get the boost in performance that I expected. My kernel compiling time stayed almost the same: about 9Min on a 486DX2-66, 16M, FreeBSD 1.1.5.1. Maybe CPU usage is down, but I haven't done all that much testing. There might be a greater difference with several disks running together, but it seems like EISA SCSI didn't make that much difference on my system. Have I configured it incorrectly or something?
