I need a UNIX OS on my 386 and have a few general questions:

1. What are the differences between FreeBSD and Linux, in a nutshell.

2. Will the CD-ROM's of these two flavors (obtainable thru Walnut Creek)
install from a Mitsumi CD-ROM controlled by a Sound Blaster. It seems like
these OS's want SCSI.

3. How much of a pain is it to ftp everything needed to get up and running.
What is a minimum set of files needed to get FreeBSD up and running with a
window manager. (I'm sure this has been covered in a FAQ somewhere, but
thera are a lot of FAQ's, if you could point me to one, that'd be great)

Any help to this newbie is appreciated.
