I think support for Linux binaries would be great.

I think the BSD camps really need to spread the word as well. but...

Please don't go around doing this. I don't want to see BSD activists around
the world being a**holes on usenet trying to spread the word of BSD. People
doing that for Linux are on the biggest negatives about Linux for me in
general. If users and developers at Microsoft starting going around on the
net saying that Windows NT is the greatest thing in the world since the wheel
(without having the facts to back them up and discussing it in inappropriate
places) everyone on the net would have a fit. For some reason lots of people
on the net seem to think that doing this for non-commercial groups is fine and
dandy.

This is a lot more helpful, but I don't know why people always centralize
discussions like this around Linux. I'm sure the exact same thing could be
done on *BSD or any of the unicies out there.

blah. Most signatures on the net are already bloated, we really don't need
everyone adding another line (or ten) saying that BSD is the best thing in the
world. I think we should support people removing their signature file or
at least trimming them down, not filling them up with their random opinions.

Articles in real magazines (except Dr. Dobbs, they've done a lot of the BSD
community already) would be great. Anyone know of any contacts at magazines
where BSD articles could be mentioned? I've already taken a policy of
writing email to people who write articles about Free unicies and then only
mention Linux.

Its really time for more of the world to become aware of BSD, but lets not
shove it down their throats with silly tactics. One of the nicest things
about the BSD community is its (well, usually) mature attitude on the net.
I don't want to see that disappear.
