I'm quite awake, and read the message for what it says.

Showing interest is one thing. "blitz"ing a software company is another.
What this generally involves is annoying the company to the point of
hatred. It also seems to me that the interest should have been shown
when the company was asking for hardware to port to different OSes,
instead of after they've decided not to when there was NO interest.

That is what I was trying to get across. It's a matter of $$$. The
FreeBSD crowd got their software FREE. I know that there are actually
developers out there, but not all of them. As well, they can get about
anything they want off the net for FREE. Why in the world would you have
more than a handful of users pay for Doom then?

No problem. Although I'd let them know about it long before linux. *grin*
