Let me update my reccomendation: EISA + VESA Local Bus for video. A good SCSI controller will let you do DMA, freeing up the CPU to do other things. On a machine that is going to be handling a news feed (monster disk intensive), one would want the most efficent + fast disk methods available. Perhaps a VLB SCSI controller, but (IMO, YMMV) IDE puts an undue burden on the CPU in a multi-tasking operating system.
