He asked me to do so when I wrote to him about an "emergency diskette" for use with a DAT drive (tape drive). This diskette should be able to boot a *BSD system and restore (perhaps even rebuild) the whole system. Please answer via email to him as he's not able to read news at the moment (his news system is broken). Reply-To is set. ---------- snip ---------- snip ---------- snip ---------- snip ---------- I am interested in building a "makefile" for NetBSD-1.0B and/or FreeBSD, if you would like to work on such a project, or have ideas on how to do it, please reply. There is some work in NetBSD-1.0B's /sys/arch/i386/floppy on such a thing. However, it is not quite complete enough. [...] I want a tree-branch, like /usr/src, where you can say "make install" and it will make a whole fixit disk on /dev/fd0a or whatever.
