Not too much to my suprise it does not mentioned anything : about FreeBSD, NetBSD or 386bsd. The article was written by : Peter H. Salus and he can be contacted at phs@netcom.com : I think that we deserve at least a branch on the history of unix :) : 386bsd : / \ : / \ : FreeBSD NetBSD : At any rate, I just send him e-mail so will see what he has to say, : that is if he responds to just one query :) : I saw the article also, but have not had time to follow-up. However, I beleive that his slant no the story was based on commercial versions of UNIX. Hence, the non-mention about **bsd and Linux, Minix and otheres... although he did not mention Coherent... maybe cause they don't advertise. -- Jesus Monroy Jr jmonroy@netcom.com Zebra Research /386BSD/device-drivers /fd /qic /clock /documentation ___________________________________________________________________________
