As the two machine I have BSD running on either don't have a monitor
or have a non-green monitor, you can take my answer with a pound or
so of salt, BUT XFree 3.1 [aka X11R6] does support a green-monitor
blanker feature in some [maybe all?] of it's servers. I just got
the new X up and running on my machine using the S3 server, and I
know that server DOES support it...
