The following may all be of some interest:

1. "uptime"
2. "rup" (rpc.statd call over the net)
3. "top" (eecs.nwu.edu:/pub/top)
4. "vmstat" or "pstat" or "swapinfo" (varies according to system type)
5. "rperf" (can't remember ftp site, from some person at RPI.EDU I think)
