We have two machines running FreeBSD and XFree86 (freebee and beefree.ping.de). Is it possible to have a chooser running on each of these machines offering login panels for both machines? What I am trying to say is that I want a chooser on each display that lets me click on either freebee or beefree and comes up with the selected login panel. Thus, it doesn't matter at which machine I am sitting because I can work on either one from my display. (Um, kinda complicated to explain :) I have seen this on three workstations with about twenty X-terminals around. On each terminal I could select one of the three workstations and got the login panel from there. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to configure the xdm under XFree86 to do that for our configuration. So a little explantions + examples would be highly appreciated. thanks tim -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tim Bernhardt Administration Wissenschaftsladen and PING, Dortmund e.V.
