Thanks for your reply. Yes, I am using MNP5 on the 9600 and 2400 bps modems. I will check into the protocol netgotiations. I also have noticed that using sp#38400 in the gettytab entry (i.e. 16550 to modem locked at 38.4k) produces problems. Switching back to 19200 solves some of my problems. (I was having connect trouble from another USR at 14.4 when the port was locked at 38.4k.) Are there known bugs in the sio drivers for going this fast? Both machines have 550 UARTS, both are 486's, and both are unloaded at the time of testing...
