I've run into the same problem on two systems.

Anybody got a solution? My perms are the same as above:
-rwsr-xr-x 1 root 12288 Sep 28 14:08 /usr/X11R6/bin/xload
As an aside, has anybody else had trouble with the et4000/W32 server?
The VT Options menu moves with the mouse instead of letting me select
menu items. Most other menus seem to work ok
