I'm actually using my old 386sx-20 as a CSLIP server, FTP, SMTP, POP3, Gopher, and HTTP server running my own modified version of KA9Q NOS11c. I've got USR Sportster 28.8's and run the server's port at 115200, and it handles things just fine. After sorting out ethernet driver problems on the server, it no longer gets overruns. It does have a 16550 UART. I'm fairly sure it wouldn't be useful at 115200 without the 16 byte buffer. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Jon Lewis | jlewis@chem.ufl.edu | OR | jlewis@inorganic5.chem.ufl.edu Mime attachments are OK http://inorganic5.chem.ufl.edu gopher://inorganic5.chem.ufl.edu Home site of NOS11cj...now up to 11cjc4.exe _____Finger jlewis@inorganic5.chem.ufl.edu for PGP public key_____
