My 486-66 is running with two 16450 UARTS on COM1 and COM2, one is used for
the mouse and the other is unused. I have a terminal and a modem on a Boca
Board BB-2016 (16 port, all 16550A UARTS, shared interrupt). With someone
running a game that makes heavy use of the terminal bandwidth for screen
drawing and 14.4Kbd txt downloads with the modem set to 57600bps, I see less
than a 10% load on my system according to top. BTW, running top with a 10
second update period causes an approx. 6% system load. Top and the other
programs combined totaled less than a 10% load.
