Anyways, Keith found the fix, though I am perplexed concerning it. If anyone else is having problems getting nvi to compile under SunOS 4.1.2, check your include/compat.h and see if VSPRINTF_CHAR_POINTER is being defined. If so, then change the 1 to a 0 in the #ifdef / #endif wrapper around it and delete all the .o files (and nvi / nex links) and rerun the make.
