The kernel code for rebooting appears to implicitly force a reboot (at least, for most people :-) by walking over processor tables, rather than being direct and getting the keyboard controller to do it (the way my UNIX SVR4 does it). Once I get the hang of what to tell this controller, I'll try to fix it! Andrew
