The recent versions, however, are very good indeed. I have used version "19940601" to compile (and run) some rather large packages with considerable success. I suggest that you get the latest version (the one that comes with FreeBSD 1.1.5.1 unfortunately just doesn't cut it) and give it a try. You'll be pleasantly surprised! _____ Larry
