With FreeBSD 1.1R, clone (AMT Star 1442) 14,400 modem and a 16550a I am getting ping times of 180ms to 280ms with avg of 210ms back to my host. : Yes. I typically get ~10,000 bps using ftp, and would expect closer to : ~20,000 over a clean 28.8 link. I am getting about 1.5 Kb from my ftps, and using 57600 to talk to the modem.
