	With FreeBSD 1.1R, clone (AMT Star 1442) 14,400 modem and a 
16550a I am getting ping times of 180ms to 280ms with avg of 210ms back 
to my host.

	I am getting about 1.5 Kb from my ftps, and using 57600 to talk 
to the modem.  My supplier is not that large a site (he uses ISDN to his 
supplier.)
