Charles Hannum finished the work on getting the Ultrastore 24F working
about six months ago, but AFAIK, no one has ever tested it under field
conditions.

If you can get NetBSD 1.0 (the -current system) you should find the
native support for your controller in there.  I'm sure that Charles
would be glad to help you get the system working if it doesn't light on
the first 30 or 40 tries :-)

I had orignally asked about the Ultrastore 2 years ago, but I left San
Antonio (and the computer with the 24F) before the driver was finished.
In either case, you can use the 24F in ISA emulation mode with really
amazing throughput anyway.  Even in the SCSI support isn't quite 'there'
yet, the ISA emulation is good enough for most things (sans alternate
devices, of course).
