I have just installed the GNU make Ver3.71 and have this odd warning when I compile screen (3.52) and kermit (5a).... it is the same warning and appears as a few of the source files are being compiled: warning: passing arg 2 of 'signal' from incompatible pointer type in function ????? The kermit INSTALL clearly states that there should be no warnings. Does anyone know what is broken? I am using FreeBSD 1.1.5. Any help would be appreciated. Tim PS. My mkdir is refusing to create paths which don't have higher level dirs - eg mkdir /usr/local/lib/ghostscript won't work if /usr/local/lib isn't there already. Is this usual? I see mkdir -p will do the trick, but someone told me it shouldn't be necessary.... -- | Tim Bouwer, Computing Centre /~~~--~\ Tel +27 [0]461 318233/318279 | | Rhodes University `---. `> FAX: +27 [0]461 25049 | | South Africa, 6140 \_*` Internet:cctb@kudu.ru.ac.za |
