The machine that doesn't have a ton of users on it, it running 13 of them at 115K, attached to a mix of 28.8k and 14.4k modems (mostly 28.8k). 3 of the modems are basically permenantly saturated 24hrs a day, and the rest run at varying load. That machine hasn't dropped a character in 4 months, and is running 97% idle cpu time. It's a 486dx2/66. Larger FIFO's? waste of time IMHO.
