I've been using slip now for a few weeks, and besides the problem with
dropping within the first 20 secs of connecting I have had not problems.

Now configuring slip with the docs at hand is something that was not fun!!

From what I've heard a lot of Linux Patchs break the SLIP/PPP.  This is
something that worries me.  Anyone else notice this?
