There now is an archive containing a statically linked version
of the GNU Ada Translator GNAT 1.83 in
ftp.ims.uni-stuttgart.de:/pub/unix/FreeBSD/gnat-1.83-freebsd-static.tar.gz

PS: as I'm not yet belonging to above-mentioned community of REAL
programmers, has somebody ported aflex and ayacc from IRUS
(Irvine Research Unit in Software) to GNAT? I could compile
aflex but it raises a constraint_error from his guts. Ayacc
seems to run into bugs/not-yet-finisheds of GNAT and doesn't
compile...
