(I dont know about xiaf filesystem though. never had the tools to make an xiaf filesystem, and ext2 works fine) sorry if you thing the minix filesystem is the only one for linux ! ) running here in a 4 modem public access unix system/BBS. sure it crashes ... but there has never been a need to reload any of the files from tape (or distribution floppies) as a result of one ... this is after more than a year. the file system is reliable, even after power failure, or any of the many halts . leon
