Something is wrong here,... I have a 486dx33 running a scsi disk using
ext2fs ever since it was first brought out (originally I used the old extfs
but it *was* bad) I have never experienced fs corruption over the course of
approx 2 years. Believe me, that machine has had it's fair share of reboots
and power kick offs. The file system is stable but I do keep a copy of the
latest e2fsck packages at hand.
