I'm looking for a good Paint program to run on my FreeBSD machine. I
have Xpaint 2.1.1, but it's a bit lacking in the feature and user
interface departments (besides coredumping regularly). Since I run a
non-commercial UNIX, most commercial products (eg IslandPaint) aren't
available for my platform. I probably need something I can get source
to.

Any pointers (to programs, patches to Xpaint, etc) are greatly
appreciated.

Thanks,
