I have recompiled FreeBSD-1.1.5.1 kernel with a mse0 device as per freebsd.faq but used IRQ 5 (faq says IRQ 6). The system appears to recognize it upon booting. I modifed XF86Config file and uncommented Logitech mice When X starts, i get root and xterm with a mouse carret, so i can use that xterm window. But I can't move the pointer except down and to the left. If i exit X, i see: Warning: unable to get status of mouse fd (Operation not supported by device) Any ideas? # ********************************************************************** # Pointer section # ********************************************************************** Section "Pointer" Protocol "BusMouse" Device "/dev/lms0" EndSection Works for me.
