Right ? : Thank you for letting me know your (FreeBSD core team ?) : attitude also. I should be very careful. I'd like to know how you got the impression that I spoke for FreeBSD? I don't speak for anyone other than myself... I've never contributed (directly) to FreeBSD. I actually contribute to NetBSD though I don't speak for NetBSD either. Anyhow; I just thought I'd clear this up. And fwiw; the impression I got from your message was one of: "Why are you guys working on this? No one wants this! Everyone wants this other thing so why the heck don't you work on that instead? It's what people want." And all I was trying to say was "We (the collective "we", as in the people who actually write the software that you get for free, and use for free, and can do anything you like with) do what we want because we're not being paid. The fact that some of it happens to do what you want as well is actually kind of a bonus.". Oh; and before you get the wrong impression, I don't speak for the collective "we". I speak for myself. The collective "we" might strike me down with lightning or some such... -- hpeyerl@novatel.ca | NovAtel Communications Ltd. hpeyerl@beer.org | <nothing I say matters anyway> On your birthday 10/02 322 BC: Aristotle dies of indigestion.
