I had no >problems compiling it based on X386 1.2E 1.0.2. Furthermore I compiled it in >about 30 Meg space (including install). I have had problems with 1.1 on X11R5. These problems went away with 1.2. Admittedly, some of these problems were related to the Berkeley version of the portable C compiler's well known pop-order bug and libXt, but some were decidedly bad interactions. Are you direct widget-level programming in Motif, or are you using UIL/an app generator/standard applications? I also saw problems with menus not coming active unless you let go of the button popping up the menu, then quickly pressed it again (not in the menu area) to get the menu selection bar to follow the mouse.
