Yeah sure, there is EIDE which addresses : some of the limitations of IDE (like the size limitation and lack of : CD-ROM) but it's still a kludge coz you only can cope with 2 devices : whereas SCSI will cope with up to 7 devices. 4 devices per EIDE card - at least on the cards that are floating around these parts.....
