You can't "shell" from BSD to DOS because you aren't running DOS under
NetBSD.  If you need to run DOS under "unix", your only get at this
point in time is Linux.

You can mount your DOS partition under NetBSD as if it was another
"unix" drive, as long as you have MSDOSFS built into your kernel.
Read the *BSD FAQ posted on comp.os.386bsd.announce for a very
detailed layout of using DOS partitions with NetBSD.
