Lines: 15 Message-ID: <3agaf0$kr4@nyx.cs.du.edu> NNTP-Posting-Host: nyx.cs.du.edu X-Newsreader: NN version 6.5.0 #3 (NOV) My system: NetBSD-1.0, i386DX/25, 8M RAM, Serial card w/ 16550UARTS, Hayes 2400 baud modem. I configured the /etc/ttys file so I could use tty00 for 2400 baud dialup. When I connect a terminal to that line everything works fine. However, when I connect the modem up and try to connect that way, I cant get a login prompt. The modem does answer. The serial line I use is good and works fine for dialing out (on my DOS machine w/ the same modem). Is there something that I have overlooked? thanks in advance Stephen Hepner
