The best I've had the good fortune to come across is: Nemeth, Snyder and Seebass: Unix System Administration Handbook ISBN 0-13-933441-6 I bought it when I was given responsibility for the running of a small group of Ultrix systems, and it very quickly got to the point where the book had a permanent place next to my keyboard, and I only ever consulted the Ultrix manuals when I wanted to check for Ultrix-specific quirks and changes. A great piece of work -- I warmly recommend it for beginners, and also feel that you need to be a very experienced administrator for buying this book to be a waste of money. Anyone know if there's an update planned that's adjusted for 4.4BSD? -tih
