It isn't in the distribution. If you take a look at the manpage, it clearly states that the manpage is for the _procedure_ of adding users. However, someone has contributed a script (perl??) to add users. I don't know if it is available in FreeBSD-1.0, but it is in 1.1.5.1. The quickest soloution I can think of is to write your own shellscript and call it "adduser" or whatever you like. That way you can customize everything to suit your own taste... Cheers, Paul. : I have been running find on the CDROM (Walnut Creek FreeBSD 1.0) and it : has found nothing so far. : : BTW, the installation had to come from floppy disks copied on my Amiga as : FreeBSD 1.0 won't recognize the Mitsumi CDROM on the 486 machine. : : I can boot FreeBSD, and I have screen and Kermit running, so I can call : out and such, but I have not figured out how to get the OS to add user : accounts. : : Comments or help? : : : -- Paul Pries paul@smc.south.telia.se
