I hacked together a Perl replacement for that driver (which wouldn't do
some things); you can find it at

ftp://sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/devel/fortran/fort77-1.6.tar.gz.

which, at least, has different quirks than the f77 shell script driver
(for example, the '-g' option actually works).  If other things don't,
I'll be glad to hear about it :-)
