I know here at work we have trouble with some IDE disks not liking being slaves and will only work as masters. I still say the whole idea of IDE sucks big time (this is, of course, MHO). It has so many klutzy little limitations that will bite you later on. Better to start off with with something that is flexible and can support all sorts of devices. SCSI has stood the test of time very well considering it has been around for at least 10 years that I know of.... -- Brett Lymn
