Hello;

I'm using FreeBSD 1.1.5.1 without the patches applied.

My problem is that the system seems to be slowly corrupting.

If I type "man ls" the screen clears and the prompt goes to the top left
corner of the screen. But nothing is displayed. man 3 curses, gives the same
result. All of the manual pages and directories are in place.

If I try to start XFree, I get the message "xf86OpenConsole: server must be set
suid root". I'm using XFree86 3.1

I've re-installed the system several times but always with the same results.

Can someone please help.

Thanks in advance
